Brookhaven High School Welcomes New Assistant Principal and Adjusts Start Time

Brookhaven High School (BHS) is pleased to announce Kelsey Gibson as the new assistant principal for the 2024-2025 academic year. Gibson is entering her fourth year with the district, having previously served as an English teacher at BHS and an academic coach at Alexander Jr. High.


Gibson's educational career spans several districts, including Scott County, Marshall County, and New Albany School Districts. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Communications from Oklahoma State University, a Master of Arts in Teaching Secondary from Mississippi State University, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.


Gibson, along with her husband Will and their two children, is an active member of First Baptist Church Brookhaven.


New Start Time

Starting August 6, the instructional day at Brookhaven High will begin at 7:55 a.m. and end at 3:20 p.m.
