Fenwick completes American Society of Radiologic Technologists Leadership Academy


Copiah-Lincoln Community College Medical Radiologic Technology Program Director Kelly Fenwick of Bogue Chitto has completed the 2024 American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) Leadership Academy.


Fenwick recently traveled to the national ASRT office in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a two-day training event following a six-week immersive online leadership training program. The program is designed for medical imaging and radiation therapy professionals who serve, or plan to serve, in leadership roles with ASRT and their affiliate societies. Participants covered topics like communication, policy and procedure development, association law, membership, recruitment, public relations, parliamentary procedures, strategic planning and advocacy.


Fenwick has served as Co-Lin’s radiography program director since 2021. She earned a bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University, a certificate of radiologic technology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center, a technical certificate in Sonography from Hinds Allied Health Center, and a master’s degree in health sciences from The University of Mississippi Medical Center. She is a member of the Mississippi Society of Radiologic Technologists and the American Society of Radiologic Technologist. In addition, she was selected as the Outstanding Career-Technical Instructor for the Wesson Campus in 2022.
