Join BAPS Charities’ In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run

Details: On August 3,2024, BAPS Charities, Jackson MS, in collaboration with American Cancer Society and Community Foundation for Mississippi, will host its annual "In the Joy of Others: Walk-Run" to support BAPS Charities, American Cancer Society and Community Foundation for Mississippi.


This event demonstrates the powerful role residents play in fostering healthy communities, supporting local entities such as fire, police, community organizations, etc. Walkers and runners of all ages will unite to back BAPS Charities, American Cancer Society and Community Foundation for Mississippi in their mission to express a spirit of selfless service, improve the lives of people with cancer and to achieve enduring change in our communities through inclusive philanthropic leadership.


An estimated 350 local participants are expected, including State Representative Grace Butler-Washington, State Representative Clay Mansell, Jackson City Councilman Brian Grizzell and other community leaders. The Walk-Run is a reflection of BAPS Charities' commitment to health and wellness, as well as community empowerment.


Beyond the annual event, BAPS Charities continually promotes health and well-being through Health Fairs, Health Awareness Lectures, and Children's Health and Safety Days. It also spearheads various social responsibility and humanitarian initiatives, including Blood Donation Drives, Food Drives, and Earth Day activities.
